The Triple Crown DanceSport Championships is a series of four weeklong competitive ballroom dancing conventions produced by Dance Consultants Unlimited, Inc. (DCU, Inc.) of which Larry and Dianne Dean are the Owners. DCU, Inc. will be celebrating its 41ST year beginning December of 2012.
The Triple Crown DanceSport Championships' year (series) begins with the Southeastern States, goes through the Southern States and Crown Jewel Of Dancesport, and ends with the Florida State.
The Southeastern States DanceSport Championships (The First 'Jewel' of the Triple Crown Series) was being held at The Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Biloxi until hurricane Katrina. It varies locations within the Southeast. Prior hosting cities/venues include The Westin Resort in Hilton Head Island, SC, The Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL, and The Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We are currently at the Ritz - Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando, FL.
The Southern States DanceSport Championships (The Second 'Jewel' of the Triple Crown Series) is currently being held at Ritz - Carlton Hotel in New Orleans, LA. This event also host a "Bal Masque" on Thursday evening and cash awards are given to the winners in all divisions.
The Crown Jewel Of Dancesport Championships (The Third and Newest 'Jewel' of the Triple Crown Series) Will be held at The Ritz-Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale Beach, Fl.
The Florida State DanceSport Championships (The Final 'Jewel' of the Triple Crown Series) has moved to a brand new, 5-star venue -- The Ritz Carlton in Sarasota, FL. This convention, has a long tradition of being held at 5-Star, 5-Diamond resorts such as The Boca Raton Resort & Private Club and The Breakers Hotel.
